At Convergence 2013 I showed off Excel Paste from Mohammad Daoud and Dynamics Innovations. After some questions I thought it would be easier just to tackle them on the blog.
- How do I setup Excel? For the basic, free usage you need four columns. Account, Debit, Credit and Distribution Reference. If you all you have are positive and negative amounts, put them all in the Debit column but you still need a blank Credit column.
- How do I install the free version for GL? Download and open the zip file. Copy the two DLL files to the Add Ins directory where GP is installed.
- When I launch GP 2013 after installing the DLL’s GP crashes and closes. What do I do:
- Make sure you download and install the latest version from the website.
- Make sure both files are NOT read only.
- In properties, unblock each file.
- I you unblock a file and it’s blocked again when you reopen it or if there is no unblock button run the script from this website:http://dotnet.dzone.com/

Because these are DLL’s from the internet some versions of Windows block the files as a security precaution.
