# MSConnect Doc Attach Functionality

John Lowther thinks that Doc Attach functionality should add the option to work like this:

### Description

At present: Document attachment will store the initial scans in a file location and then upon attaching to the Microsoft Dynamics GP 2013 record, the image will store the attachment in a new SQL table specific to Document Attach. Attachments are stored by company.  
This should be modified to give the customer the following option:  
Document attachment will store the initial scans in a file location and then upon attaching to the Microsoft Dynamics GP 2013 record, the image will store the attachment in a different file location and only store pointers in a SQL table to that specific Document Attach. Attachments can still be stored by company.
