The Microsoft Dynamics GP 2016 Cookbook was originally targeted for a January 2017 release. Then Ian and I got to work and well…its done. Now the book is set for an August release, a mere 5 months early and only 4 months after the release of GP 2016. We’ll try to do better next time.
You can preorder the book now from Packt Publishing.
In fairness, there were a lot of changes, additions, and updates from the GP 2013 edition. It’s not like we just changed 2013 to 2016 and put out a new book. This thing is full of new stuff since the GP 2013 RTM release. The publisher was pretty worried about length. They kept trying to get us to shorten stuff.
On top of that we had Leslie and Jivtesh as technical reviewers. Jivtesh was terrific, and let me tell you, Leslie does detail like nobody else. They didn’t let us get away with much.
It was a lot of fun working with Ian on this book. I hope you like it as much as we do.
