Getting point in time reports out of GP and into Excel for AR, AP, and Inventory is a pretty common request. It’s also pretty hard to do. Refreshable Excel reports don’t do point in time and the export then cleanup process is awful.
There is a better way. Historical Excel Reporting for Dynamics GP is a set of live Excel reports that replicate the AR and AP Historical Aged Trial Balances, Inventory Historical Aged Trial Balance, and the Inventory Stock Status reports from GP. These are native Excel reports that use the stored procedures included with GP to ensure accurate reporting.
