Mariano has a information on [Granting Microsoft Dynamics GP user minimal access at the database level to setup additional users](http://dynamicsgpblogster.blogspot.com/2010/11/granting-microsoft-dynamics-gp-user.html?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+TheDynamicsGpBlogster+%28The+Dynamics+GP+Blogster%29&utm_content=Google+Reader). In essence Mariano provides a script that assigns the minimum permission necessary to setup users in GP. This is a solution to not using “sa” to setup users and not using the alternative of assigning a user to the Sysadmin role in SQL.

Of course another option is to use [Config AD](http://www.gofastpath.com/) from [FastPath](http://www.gofastpath.com/) to give security administrators in the company the ability to add GP users and link them to Active Directory accounts

Also, as I mentioned early, if you buy Config AD or Audit Trails before 12/31/10  you can get a 20% discount and a free copy of the [Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010 Cookbook](http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1849680426?ie=UTF8&tag=polinofamilywebs&linkCode=as2&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=1849680426).
