# GP2016R2 Feature of the Day: Saved Fixed Asset ID w/ Suffix – Microsoft Dynamics GP Community

I have to say that I don’t really understand this one and there isn’t a lot of clarification. We’ve been able to enter a Fixed Asset ID for a long time. There have been some issues with entering FA ID’s via integrations in the last few versions and I speculated that the issue could be related to relatively new Auto Numbering features, but there’s not info to really understand what this new feature is trying to do. If you know, or if I’m just missing something, feel free to leave a comment and set me straight.
