This guide contains various methods for end-users but also for Exchange administrators to get Outlook connected to Exchange via Autodiscover.
This really isn’t GP related, but… since folks will be moving up to Office 2016 you need to know that Outlook 2016 really, really, really wants you to have Autodiscover properly configured on your Exchange server. You used to be able to put in manual setup entries, proxy info etc., but no more. All of that has been removed in Outlook 2016. There are a few workarounds and the first one in this article helped me out after a half dozen other blogs said it couldn’t be done. So, I’m passing this along.
